A Three-dimensional Numerical Analysis of Deformation
and Failure of Adjacent Piers Caused by High Fill

Abstract：High fill retaining wall leading to the occurrence of deformation and failure of the pier.The physical and mechanical properties of rock and soil field region were determined by carrying out supplementary investigation, and a pier FLAC3D force model was builded by the the finite element software to determine the high fill deformation of bridge piers by force anti-analysis.The results showed that anti-dimensional numerical analysis results agreeed with the actual occurrence of failure deformation through the observation of the crack of bridge pier, which could provide valuable reference for high fill impact analysis and control.
